The Brief
Polterapp is a large Danish platform that aggregates bachelor party ideas and experiences, combining editorial content with live ticket sales. That combination puts real pressure on both content delivery and transactional reliability — users browsing inspiration and users mid-checkout have very different performance needs, and the platform had to serve both well. The challenge was building something that could handle peak seasonal traffic without letting the two layers interfere with each other.
What We Built
We built the platform on an architecture that separates the content layer from the commerce layer, allowing each to scale independently. Editorial pages stay fast under load without competing with checkout processes for resources. The ticket sales system was built with transactional integrity as a priority — proper handling of race conditions and inventory locking ensures no overselling during busy periods, even when demand spikes sharply.
The Result
The platform handles peak traffic around popular bachelor party seasons without degradation in performance or checkout reliability. The clean separation of concerns gives the client the confidence to run promotional campaigns without worrying whether the infrastructure will hold. Polterapp now has a foundation that supports both their content ambitions and their commercial growth.
