The Brief
CAD teams working across multiple locations have a persistent problem: drawings get shared over email, feedback arrives in separate threads, and nobody has a clear picture of what's been approved and what hasn't. GroupDraw was commissioned to solve exactly that — a centralised collaboration platform where engineers and designers could annotate directly on drawings, discuss issues in context, and keep every stakeholder on the same page without bouncing between tools.
What We Built
We handled the full front-end layer of the platform, building the interface and its supporting functionality in TypeScript and AngularJS. The UI had to hold up under the weight of large technical drawings while keeping annotation tools and chat accessible without cluttering the canvas. The public-facing homepage was built with Bootstrap, giving the marketing side a clean, responsive foundation separate from the application itself.
The Result
The delivered interface gave distributed CAD teams a single place to mark up drawings, raise issues, and track discussions — without switching context. Feedback that previously lived in email chains now sits directly on the relevant part of a drawing, visible to everyone with access. It's a cleaner workflow, and one that scales as the team or the project does.
